Cadillac Escalade ESV

Sport Utility Vehicles were on the rise in popularity so it is only appropriate the Cadillac issue a model of its own. Buyers looking for a truly luxurious SUV should certainly take a second, or even third, look at the Escalade. This is a truly wonderful was to ride in style and have plenty of room to tote around whatever one may need – be it friends or goods from the store. The Cadillac Escalade is a full-size luxury sport utility vehicle sold by the General Motors luxury brand, Cadillac. It was the company's first major move into the popular SUV market. In the 1999 model year, the Escalade was introduced as a response to German and Japanese competitors and to Ford's popular 1998 release of the Lincoln Navigator. Cadillac didn't waste any time getting the Escalade in the show rooms, as the project went into production only 10 months after it was approved. This is a truly American made auto being produced in Arlington, Texas. The Escalade was originally built off the GMC Yukon Denali, but was intelligently redesigned for the 2002 model year to being it in line with Cadillac's new design theme. Despite some misconceptions, the Escalade was not the first Chevrolet-based Cadillac. In fact, the first generation Seville and the 1980s Cimarron were based on entry-level Chevrolet vehicles. Oddly enough, the Escalade has drawn the attention of a much younger demographic of car buyers and has placed the brand in the position of being viewed an popular and fresh. The Escalade brought cool back to the Cadillac brand, and hopefully with smart product placement and development, Cadillac will be able to retain this popularity for some time to come. Cadillac has had some problems in the past with seeming too old fashioned and has had to try pretty hard to drop this title.
