Car Shipping for Saturn Sky The Saturn Sky is a roadster from the Saturn marquee of American automaker General Motors. It was launched in the first quarter of 2006 as a 2007 model. The design of the Sky was created by Franz von Holzhausen, and is based on the British Vauxhall VX Lightning design. Further, it uses the Kappa automobile platform shared with the Pontiac Solstice. The Sky concept was first seen at the 2005 North American International Auto Show where it was met with open arms. It is currently being manufactured at GM's Wilmington, Delaware plant, alongside the Solstice and the Opel GT. Further, it is offered in some European markets as just the GT. A rebadged version named the Daewoo G2X was showcased as a concept vehicle for the South Korean market in 2006. The Sky features 18 in wheels and a 2.4 L Ecotec LE5 I4 engine that produces 177 hp as well as an all-new I-4 2.0L Direct Injected Turbo-Charged engine. Both of these are decent choice engines.

The production version is scheduled to be released in August 2007. The radical styling has earned praise, as it is a welcomed departure from the typical, conservative Saturn styling. The Sky is priced at $25,325 with a five-speed manual transmission, and a model equipped with a five-speed automatic will cost $26,175. Nevertheless, both prices are very reasonable. Additionally, Car and Driver Magazine tested the 2007 Saturn Sky, which it says posted numbers that are respectable in the sports convertible market. It was said though that it is not as quick as its Kappa sister, the Pontiac Solstice or the Mazda MX-5. Regardless, it has a 0 – 60 mph acceleration time of 7.3 seconds, which is not bad given the low price tag. Further, the top speed of the Sky is estimated at 123 mph.
