Car Shipping for Saab 9-7 suv The Saab 9-7X is a mid-size luxury Sport Utility Vehicle that is based on the GM GMT platform, which also happens to be shared by the Chevrolet TrailBlazer, the GMC Envoy, the Buick Rainier and the Isuzu Ascender. It is manufactured on the same assembly line in Moraine, Ohio, and uses most of the same parts as its previously mentioned sister vehicles. Except for the Trailblazer SS and the Envoy Denali, it is the most expensive SUV in GM's mid-size SUV lineup. Further, the 9-7X is the first American-built Saab. All of the 9-7Xs feature all-wheel drive, leather seats, 18 in alloy wheels and side-curtain airbags. In terms of the fun equipment, the 9-7 includes OnStar, XM Satellite Radio, a 6-CD Bose audio system and either a moon roof or a rear-seat DVD entertainment system. The 9-7X is somewhat more differentiated from its siblings than the small 9-2X. Under the hood, the car features substantial chassis revisions, including a 1 in lower ride and revised bushings and dampers. It also has standard rear air suspension and quicker steering that sharpens the handling.

On the interior, the design is inspired by the Saab 9-5 and includes features like the console-mounted ignition switch and swing out cup holders. The successful 9-7X is not expected to be updated after 2008. At first, its place in the Saab lineup was to be taken by the Subaru based Saab 9-6X, but since GM has sold off their Subaru stock, the project has been cancelled. Instead, the spot will be taken by the Theta-based 9-4X for 2008. Thus far the Saab 9-7 has escaped any major mechanical problems however it could take some time to be able to say with certainty that the first American made Saab was as good as the models previously being whipped up elsewhere.
