Car Shipping for Jaguar XKR One really cannot go wrong with a Jaguar, and the XKR proves why. The Jaguar XK series is produced by British automaker Jaguar since the 1997 model year and is the replacement of the XJS. It is available as either a coupe or a convertible. Currently in its second generation, the XK8 was the first 8-cylinder vehicle produced by Jaguar, when the Jaguar AJ-V8 engine was introduced.

A few special edition models have existed under the XKR moniker and they all prove to be expertly made. The first is the XKR Silverstone of which only 600 Silverstones were made. This model was meant as a celebration of Jaguar's return to F1 racing in 2001. It featured a Platinum paint finish and a high-performance package, which included the same engine as the standard XKR, but improved transmission, suspension and brakes. It also contained 20" Silver BBS "Detroit" wheels and a custom interior thus making it easy on the eyes. Another special model was the XKR 100, which was built to celebrate the centenary of Jaguar's founder. Only 500 'XKR 100' coupes and 500 convertibles were made in 2002. The XKR 100 expertly featured an Anthracite paint finish, Recaro seats, 20-inch BBS alloys, Brembo brakes and a custom interior. Furthering the special editions came the XKR Portfolio. This was a convertible-only model that was produced in 2004 exclusively for the United States market. Of the Portfolio models, 100 featured unique Red paint with matching Recaro sports seats and interior, whilst the remaining 100 had Blue paintwork and interiors. To the delight of drivers everywhere, there is also a 2008 Portfolio model planned which will be available worldwide, featuring the most powerful breaks featured on any production-line Jaguar. Jaguar also produced a concept car called the XKR-R but unlike the S-Type R, it has not yet been approved for manufacturing, and is now unlikely to ever be produced.
