Car Shipping for Honda Fit This vehicle is known as the Fit in Japan, China, and in both North and South America; however it is called the Jazz in Europe, some parts of Asia, Australia, Oceania, the Middle East, and Africa. It is a five-door hatchback automobile produced by Honda of Japan, and was first introduced in June 2001. The Fit is manufactured in 5 plants throughout the world. Those locations being Suzuka in Japan, Sumare in Brazil, Guangzhou in China, Ayutthaya in Thailand, and Karawang in Indonesia. Models produced in Japan are for Honda's home market, and they are also exported to Europe, as well as Canada and the United States. The Brazilian factory supplies all of Latin America and the Caribbean. Chinese models are sold in the region, and also exported to Europe.

Although the Honda Fit is at present one of Honda's global models, it was not exactly well received at first. The car first debuted in the June of 2001 in Japan and without delay became a big hit. It was then introduced to Europe in early 2002, in Australia in late 2002, in South America in early 2003, in South Africa and in South-East Asia in mid 2003, in China in mid 2004 and in Mexico in late 2005. Obviously it took a while for the model to make its way around the globe. Honda had hoped for the release to occur much faster. A production model for the United States and Canadian markets debuted on January 8, 2006 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The car was released in Canada on April 3, 2006, and in the U.S. on April 20, 2006. Unlike most Honda models, which customarily have a 4 or 5-year model cycle, the current generation Fit will remain for longer due to its late release in North America.
