Car Shipping for Aston Martin Zagato Aston Martin set their standards high from the get-go, as is evident in the DB4 GT Zagato, which was introduced in 1960 at the London Motor Show. Essentially, this was a DB4 GT with improvements made by the Zagato factory in Italy, at the hands of Ercole Spada. The Zagato's engine ran a whopping 314 hp (234 kW), a zero to sixty mph acceleration of just 6.1 seconds and a top speed of 153 mph (246 km/h). All of these statistics were wildly impressive for the time period. The enormous size of the price tag made this car available to only a select few. In fact, initially the factory planed to produce 25 cars, but demand only allowed for production of 20 units. The Vantage Zagato coupe sold for a whopping base price of US$250,000, thus the low demand!

The DB4 GT Zagato was an active racecar at the 1962 Le Mans 24 Hours race and was driven by such famous drivers as Roy Salvadori and Jim Clark. Years later the Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Zagato was released as a limited-edition grand touring vehicle made by the Ford subsidiary Aston Martin. It took center stage at the Paris Motor Show in October 2002. At which point the Zagato immediately sold out! A grand total of 99 examples were sold to the public and one additional car was produced for the Aston Martin museum. This car was filled with power, which may be why it commanded such an enormous price. Like the DB7, its mentor, the Zagato is powered by a 6.0 L V12 engine and controlled via a 6-speed manual transmission. It has a whopping top speed of 186 mph and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 4.9 seconds! These statistics are quite similar to those of the present day Aston Martin DB9.
