Additional Volkswagen JettaAuto Transport Information:
Auto Transport for Volkswagen Jetta The VW Jetta is really in a league of its own in terms of market saturation. There are extraordinary numbers of well-maintained used Jettas on the market. The first generation Jetta appeared in North America in 1980, and was offered as a two-door coupe and as a four-door sedan. The design of the model is credited to ItalDesign's Giorgetto Giugiaro. The Volkswagen Jetta is the sedan version of the compact Volkswagen Golf, which was manufactured by Volkswagen since 1980. Between 1991 and 2005, the name was only used in North America and South Africa, as it was dropped in Europe in 1991. At that point it was replaced by the Vento, which was in turn replaced by the Bora in 1999. The Jetta was created because the observation was made that the North American market leaned more towards sedans as opposed to the Golf's hatchback configuration. Much the same in South Africa, the Jetta remains more popular than the Golf. This showed to be a smart business move on Volkswagen's part, as the Jetta became the best-selling European car in the United States and Canada.

The Mark 2 series is the longest running Jetta thus far. It was introduced in Europe in 1984 and in North America in 1985. Further, the second generation Jetta outnumbered Golf sales two-to-one and secured the title of best-selling European car in North America. In the early 1980s, VW released a limited production electric Jetta called the Jetta CitySTROMER. It is known to have around 18kW to 20kW with a range of 30-50 km, which is similar to the Golf CitySTROMER. Later, in 2001 at the 18th International Electric Vehicle Symposium and Exhibition in Berlin, VW launched two environmentally friendly Boras known as the Bora HyMotion and the Bora Electric. Hopefully, VW will use their innovative styling and mechanics to create a fascinating earth friendly auto.
