Additional Mercedes-Benz S 350Auto Transport Information:
Auto Transport for Mercedes-Benz S 350 As is customary for Mercedes, the name of the car consists of a small series of numbers and letters, which are often carried over from one body style to the next. This of course can make selecting a model somewhat difficult, as it is hard to know exactly which model, year and version you are looking for. Nonetheless, that is the way it is. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the familiar description for a series of large luxury flagship sedans produced by Mercedes-Benz, which is a division of DaimlerChrysler. For example, 500 SEL denotes an S-Class car with an engine size of about 5,000ccm, with fuel injection (E) and a long wheelbase (L). Recognize that the 'S' though in 'SEL' is not the same as the 'S' in 'SL' that stands for Sport Light, and in fact, the SL roadsters are not even S-Class vehicles.

Currently though, in the S-Class there are an available seven trim levels; the numbers are given in ascending order to denote more upscale models. In 1994, the traditional naming convention of numbers and then letters was reversed which has added to the madness. From then on, the long-wheelbase models, which were formerly 'SEL' and the regular length models, which were formerly 'SE' are both now labeled with the prefix of 'S' regardless of length. For example, both the 500 SEL and 500 SE are now labeled as S500. In reality this is nothing short of a ridiculous naming pattern. However, back to the modes, drivers of the re-released S 350 said the 2006 model takes some time to master because it is overdone with gadgets and gauges. There is also an onboard computer system that gives the S 350 an owner's manual the size of a "small Bible." Further, the car is available with a V6 or a V8 and a seven speed automatic transmission comes standard. With the standard, 3.5 liter V6 engine, the car packs 272 horsepower and 350 Nm torque, reaching 62 miles per hour in 7.2 second.
