Auto Transport for Mercedes-Benz C 43 The 1998 C-Class sedan is available in three models with those three being the C 230, the C 280 and the C 43. In 1998, the C 280 engine was in need of an upgrade, and one was provided. The engine was changed to a 2.8L V6, which is 25% lighter and 13% more fuel efficient than its predecessor, and it does this with no loss of power. The fuel efficiency was a great selling point for the C 43, and it would be a better selling point today given the enormous cost of oil. The C 43's late introduction added to the C-Class line with AMG high-performance sedan. AMG has been tirelessly increasing the performance of the Benz automobiles.

The limited production C 43 is equipped with a 4.3L V8 302-horsepower engine, 17-inch alloy wheels, low-profile tires and sport-tuned suspension. The wheels were a huge hit among racing enthusiasts and seemed to draw a new bank of buyers as a result. However, Benz has limited the production so as not to saturate the market. Only 1,500 of C 43 models will be imported over a 3-year period. The C 280 is available with the optional C6 Sport Package, which includes 16-inch alloy wheels, leather sport bucket seats, interior and exterior sport badging, sport-tuned suspension and ivory-colored instrument faces. The very first C-Class sedan, which was model W202, was produced on June 1, 1993 and the second generation C-Class, which was model W203, rolled off the assembly line on July 18, 2000. The third generation, which will be model W204, is expected to be available for sale in Europe in late March 2007. The C Class of automobiles has been the saving grace for Mercedes- Benz in terms of attracting a new clientele and for creating a new buzz around the brand and around the company's cars. AMG has been a big part of that success and is due some of the credit.
