Additional Hummer H1Auto Transport Information:
Auto Transport for Hummer H1 There is probably not one car manufacturer out there that can boast the sort of road presence that Hummer boasts. The Hummer H1 Alpha is a civilian, as opposed to military, vehicle based on the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, popularly known as the Humvee. The vehicle was produced from 1992 through 2006. On the down side, one of the greatest things about Hummers has been lost over the years. The first Hummers were built with strength in mind and they did indeed look strong on account of the selected materials used. However, the most recent Hummer models really do look like they are made out of plastic. Yes, the models are now less expensive, but the reputation of the brand has to be suffering.

Originally released in the civilian market in 1992, the Hummer H1 owes its conception to the recognition of photos from Operation Desert Storm and the enthusiastic campaign from actor and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who personally owns several variants of Hummer vehicles. General Motors announced that 2006 would be the last model year for the Hummer H1 with production winding down in June 2006. Oddly enough, most models are dropped because sales were low, but the Hummer H1 is being dropped due to a new emission laws for Diesel engine vehicles, which take effect in 2007. The Hummer H1s do have many unusual features such as they use inboard brakes. They also have geared hubs, allowing the drive train's half shafts to be up high for greater clearance. The radiator is up high, sloping back over the engine on a forward hinged hood. The air intake is mounted high, enabling fording waist-level water, which is an everyday encounter on your commute to work. And lastly, chemical warfare resistant paint is available only on the military versions; although it would be interesting to see what Mr. Schwarzenegger's models are equipped with.
