Auto Transport for Dodge Nitro Most people are not very familiar with the Dodge Nitro, and that is if they have even heard the name at all. The Dodge Nitro is a Sport Utility Vehicle from the Dodge division of DaimlerChrysler. The reason for its lack of being a publicly known name is that it was just launched for the 2007 model year at the Chicago Auto Show. The Dodge Nitro shares its platform with the Jeep Liberty and is assembled at the Toledo North Assembly Plant in Toledo, Ohio. This particular Jeep facility is part of a complex of buildings and factories that also includes the Toledo South Assembly Plant, home to the Jeep Wrangler since the 1940s. The Nitro faces steep competition from some other compact SUVs such as the Nissan Xterra, the Suzuki Grand Vitara and the new Toyota FJ Cruiser. It also has to match up with compact crossover Sport Utility Vehicles such as the Chevrolet Equinox, the Ford Escape and the Honda CR-V. This model was first seen for sale in September of 2006, after only entering production one month earlier in August 2006.

Prospective buyers will be pleased to know that the price tag on the Nitro is fairly decent especially when compared to some other models on the market. It is priced at $19,885 and will be the one of the first modern Dodge-branded cars to be sold in Europe. It is scheduled for release there in 2007. All Nitros are available equipped with rear-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive is available to those who desire it. The top-line Nitro R/T with all-wheel drive will run the buyer $27,630 which is still not that bad given the equipment and the market average. Dodge is touting the car's "Load 'N Go" sliding cargo floor as a major selling feature which in reality is a pretty nice feature. It is similar to a system offered on the Saab 9-5 station wagon in which the floor can be extended through the rear hatch by 18 in (457 mm) to ease loading.
