Auto Transport for Chrysler Concorde One would not expect that a Chrysler was based off a 1987 Lamborghini. But indeed, the Chrysler Concorde is inspired by the Lamborghini Portofino. The Portofino was praised for being a design triumph, which therefore set Chrysler in motion to produce a mainstream sedan with the Portofino's world-shattering design. This groundbreaking design was called the "cab-forward". It was characterized by a long and low-slung windshield, which is frankly hard to imagine without seeing this model. Further, the wheels were more or less pushed to the corners of the car, which created a much larger passenger cabin than the other models available at the time. The Chrysler Concorde hit the main market in 1993 and remained there until 2004. It replaced the appropriately named Chrysler Fifth Avenue on the lineup. The Concorde has been compared to the Dodge Intrepid, the Chrysler LHS, the Chrysler New Yorker, and the Eagle Vision, although in reality it is a much nicer model. During 1993 and 1994 it was on Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best list.

Years later a trim level was added which produced the hyper-luxury Limited for 2002. By midyear, the Limited models received the option of having the Pro-Am Edition, which would delight the driver (no pun intended) with 2-tone leather upholstery, a unique interior trim, and matching chrome rimmed spare tire. Better yet though, it came with a set of Taylor Made golf clubs and a special leather and suede Chrysler golf bag. Now just imagine pulling up to the country club in your Concorde, opening the trunk and pulling out your golf gear that matches the car. This is either going to be very exciting or very embarrassing and that is left up to the driver. Nevertheless, this option was purchased by some, so next time you go to the club, be on the lookout for the golfer that plays in style.
