Additional Chevy UplanderAuto Transport Information:
Auto Transport for Chevy Uplander It is hard to imagine a replacement for either the Venture or the Astro and yet Chevrolet came up with something. The company released the Uplander, a minivan that was introduced for the 2005 model year. Chevrolet allowed the release of the Uplander to overlap with the Venture and Astro for one model year. The Uplander is based on the same platform as the Saturn Relay, Buick Terraza, and Pontiac Montana SV6. Given that, there are few differences between the four various models. The largest difference between the models is that the Uplander LS offers an integrated child seat in the and in the United States, the Uplander is available in two wheelbases and a cargo version. This seems to be a fairly decent model for the asking price. The suggested retail price for the Uplander ranges from $21,250 to $33,795 depending on the options selected. For those outside of the United States, you can still be the proud owner of an Uplander, as it is exported to Canada, Chile, and Mexico.

This model uses a 3.5 L High Value 3500 LX9 V6 which generates 200 hp (149 kW) and 220 ft•lbf (298 N•m). These beauties can be found in the factory in Atlanta, Georgia, but only for a very short time. As General Motors faces tough times in the automotive industry, they have decided that the plant where the Uplander is made will be closed in 2008. The closing of this plant in Doraville, Georgia will certainly leave a number of individuals out of work. This announcement was made on November 21, 2005. Sadly for the employees, GM was supposed to redesign the minivans such as the Uplander for 2010, but due to suffering sales, the project has been canceled. In fact, sales of minivans have been so bad that GM has declared they will end production on all its minivans.
