Auto Transport for Chevy Tracker The Chevrolet Tracker is a wee little Sport Utility Vehicle is it can even be called that. The company labels it a mini SUV and it remained in production between the 1989 and the 2004 model years. This really wasn't a new car; in fact it is a rebadged version of the Suzuki Escudo. Those who are car hunting in Canada will recognize this model as the Tracker as well ' first as a GMC Tracker and later as a Geo Tracker. Additionally, you may have seen this model in some other fashions such as under the name Sunrunner, which it was known by as a Pontiac and Asuna model.

In 1997 the Pontiac Sunrunner model was discontinued, and Pontiac must have been tired of the mini SUV market, for they stayed out of the game until the debut of the Aztek in 2001. In 1998, when the Geo brand name was dropped from use, the Tracker was permanently renamed as a Chevrolet. This model was available as a two-door and two-wheel drive model. The Tracker LSi, which was a four-door hardtop model, was discontinued. Then in 1999, it seems that the design team could not make up their mind given that now all new Trackers arrived available with two or four doors. Thankfully in 2002 the Tracker grows up and a radio with CD player becomes standard in all models and a roof rack and a rear wiper become standard on all hardtop models. By 2003 the smaller 1.6 L I4 is discontinued and the 2.0 L four-cylinder becomes standard across the lineup. And things start to wind down by 2004 when the last year of its production occurs and the last Tracker rolls off the line in January 2004. By the end of the year, the Equinox, a mid-size crossover, became Chevrolet's smallest SUV. The Tracker certainly had a heck of a run, but even with all the changes it just couldn't hold up in the marketplace.
