Auto Shipper for Oldsmobile Bravada Oddly enough, the fuel efficiency of this vehicle declined over its lifetime. The first generation Bravada produced 160 hp from its engine and averaged 17 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway. By the second generation, a 200 hp engine was used that averaged 16 mpg city and 21 mpg highway. The Bravada was a mid-size luxury Sport Utility Vehicle from the Oldsmobile marquee of General Motors. As stated, there have been two different vehicles to carry this model name: the first and second-generation GMT330, and the 2002 to 2004 GMT360.

The 1991 Bravada was more or less an upscale version of the then-new 4-door Jimmy. It was the first truck-based vehicle made available by Oldsmobile since the 1920s, and at that time was only offered in the United States-only. The Bravada was only offered with Smart Trak all-wheel drive, leather upholstery and the 4.3 L Z-code engine. Additionally, anti-lock brakes and remote keyless entry were also standard. There was no 1995 models produced and the 1996 and 1997 models were restyled to be less boxy than their predecessor. By now, the Smart Trak system is computer controlled and it works more like a traction control system. This is because these trucks now run in RWD in normal conditions and only when wheel slip is detected does the Smart Trak activate into AWD. Further, the interior styling was more appealing to the eye with less hard edges resembling the exterior. The 2002 Bravada was the first GMT360 truck. Like the Chevrolet TrailBlazer and the GMC Envoy, it contained the 270 hp Atlas I6 engine. The Bravada had entered the Canadian market by that time. However, production of the Bravada ended with the fall of the Oldsmobile marquee in 2004. The very last Bravada rolled off the assembly line in January of that year to the displeasure of many.
