Additional Jeep LaredoAuto Shipper Information:
Auto Shipper for Jeep Laredo The Jeep Grand Cherokee models, manufactured from 1993 to 1998, originally came in 3 general trims - the Base, the Laredo and the Limited. The Base model, which was later renamed SE in 1994, offered basic features such as full instruments, cloth interior, a standard five-speed manual transmission and other optional equipment found on the Laredo. The SE model was quite quickly dropped in 1996 due to a lack of consumer demand. The Laredo was the mid-scale model, and later became the base model after 1996. It featured power windows, power door locks, cruise control, a medium gray plastic lower body paneling and five-spoke aluminum wheels. The Limited was the finest model and it can be distinguished by the lower body paneling being the same color as the vehicle color. The Limited also boasted features such as leather seating, optional power sunroof, mirrors, seats, a remote keyless entry system, heated mirrors, heated seats, a basic onboard computer and waffle-like cast aluminum wheels. The year 1996 brought decorative changes ranging from improved body modeling to integrated fog lights. On the interior, dual airbags were added and the fabric quality was improved. At the same time, the font for the "Grand Cherokee" badge was replaced with a font style used on other Chrysler vehicles.

The Jeep Laredo 4.0 L straight-6 engine is capable of towing 5,000 lb. It was later refined to gain more torque and provide for quieter operation. Between 1996 and 1998, the export Grand Cherokee Laredo that was marketed for Japan had some additional options known as the Aspen package. Overall, the Laredo did not receive the elevated popularity that has been common for Jeep models in the past. It seems that Jeep lost a little of their rugged reputation with this model. Luckily, the most recent Jeeps on the market have better aligned with the old brand ' the brand that made the CJ5.
