Additional Buick RoadmasterAuto Shipper Information:
Auto Shipper for Buick Roadmaster Well, Buick can be accused of a lot of things, but one thing they cannot be criticized for is using mundane titles on their cars. The Roadmaster has got to be one of the best car titles ever used. It was an automobile built by the Buick division of General Motors between 1936 and 1958. The name resurfaced years later in 1991 when Buick again applied the Roadmaster name to its full-size rear-wheel drive sedan and station wagon models. These were released as replacements for the Buick Estate. The Roadmaster originated back in 1936 when Buick renamed its entire model lineup in a celebratory move. They were looking to highlight the engineering and design advancements over their 1935 models. The Roadmaster was born out of the Buick Series 80.

Cars are really a very complex product to sell. People are looking for performance and prestige, and sometimes it takes a name to convey this to consumers. It appears that the Roadmaster name was extremely effective in attracting eyes and wallets of prospective buyers. It also probably helped that the Roadmaster had a few moments in the spotlight. It was featured in a Stephen King's book among a number of other novels as well. Hollywood joined the bandwagon some years later and a 1949 Roadmaster appears in the movie Rain Man. Even more recently Jack Nicholson and Leonardo DiCaprio's characters were driven around in a 1994 Buick Roadmaster in The Departed. Viewers may not have even noticed this fact given that the car is rarely seen from the outside. Nevertheless, any publicity of this sort is good news for the manufacturer. It will be interesting to watch if the Roadmaster car makes its way into any movies or Television slots in the future. It so, it may need to be awarded a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.
