Mitsubishi Starion Car Shipping Rates
The Starion's first appearance in 1982 took place during a time when a number of Japanese sports cars were seeing an increase in popularity. It was released to a market that had steep competition from the Porsche 924 Turbo, the Nissan 300ZX Turbo and the Toyota Supra. However, the Starion's turbocharged four-cylinder engine allowed it to be very competitive. This model is a three-door, turbocharged four-cylinder rear wheel drive vehicle. It seats four in this sports car and was in production from 1982 to 1990. Additionally, it was marketed in North America as the Conquest under the Chrysler marquee, the Dodge marquee, and the Plymouth marquee. Granted, it was preceded by earlier turbocharged models such as the Saab 99 and the Mitsubishi Lancer 2000 Turbo, but it is still considered to be one of the founders of the modern Japanese turbocharged performance automobiles. But, things were not always so bright, and in fact, it was instead plagued by poor sales figures. Nevertheless, the Starion was received well by the motoring media. During production, the Starion was produced in both a narrow body and a wide body design. This proved durable and few changes were made between the various models. Only simple improvements came from one model to the next. Even so, in the United States market, there was only one major change when the car was upgraded to the ESI-r model. The Starion used a conventional front-mounted engine with a rear-wheel drive layout, which is common on many sports cars. Some models came with a limited slip differential and anti-lock brakes as standard features. The chassis was a product of the high performance Mitsubishi Sapporo or Galant Lambda sports coupe. At the end of the day, the Starion was never given the respect that it deserved, and instead, it went out as a poor seller than no one remembers.
