Mercedes-Benz ML 55 AMG suv

Throughout its short run, the ML55 AMG kept the same engine which was a powerful 5.5-liter V8 rated at 342 horsepower and 376 lb/ft of torque. It sat low to the ground for an SUV, which made turning almost race-car-like. Mercedes enhancements such as a Cockpit Management and Navigation Display made the Sport Utility Vehicle feel futuristic and fun to drive. AMG, the part of the name, represents Mercedes-AMG, the tuning arm of the Mercedes-Benz car company. Mercedes-Benz purchased AMG in 1999 and as a result, production climbed from 500 cars a year to 20,000 AMG vehicles in 2005. The ML 55 AMG had soft yet strong leather on the interior matched the soft yet strong tires on the exterior. The ML55 was never able to achieve SUV status, as drivers would complain about tires that popped too easily and fears of scratching the coating. But that is not the biggest drawback. That award goes to its fuel efficiency. This SUV is rated to get 14 mpg city and 17 mpg highway. And all this out of a 25-gallon tank, which always seemed too small. Combining the engine of a sports coupe, the height and ride of an SUV and the luxury of a Mercedes produces the Mercedes ML 55 AMG. Mercedes-AMG is the tuning arm of the Mercedes-Benz car company. AMG was founded in 1967 by former Mercedes engineers Hans-Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher in a town near Stuttgart called Großaspach. AMG was able to turn around Mercedes from manufacturing alright cars, to making absolutely magnificent cars. It will be vitally important that over the next few year Benz is able to increase even more the perception of their brand. They are riding on the cusp of being liked and being hated and the next few models are going to determine which way they fall.
