Audi A6 Car Shipping Quote
Audi continues to stock their line of cars with something to please everybody. The Audi A6 is designed as a mid-size luxury executive car and is produced exclusively by the German. Drivers can choose between a sedan or station wagon (Avant) body style. Competition in this market is stiff, especially when the A6 is up again other top contenders such as the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5-Series, Alfa Romeo 166, Jaguar S-Type, Lexus GS and Volvo S80. In 1994, the latest generation of the Audi 100 was redesigned and re-labeled as the A6. This change really went into effect to fit in with Audi's new alphanumeric nomenclature – nothing more. In fact, the exterior was largely left unchanged from the C4 100, and it included the same chassis, engine and transmission choices. Audi is quite skilled at allowing drivers to choose their individual performance by allowing buyers to select their preferred engine. Up until 1997, the A6 came with several different engines, two of them Diesel, and most of them available with Audi's quattro all wheel drive system. These choices were sure to please all drivers at least in some capacity. For those more concerned with the exterior appearance of the vehicle, the A6 was available with either a sedan or Avant body. The Avant came to market during the course of 2005, while in China, a longer version was introduced in the same year, named A6 L. Shortly thereafter, the Allroad model made its debut in 2006. It is a specialized off-road ready version of the Avant, and is available with either a 2.7 or 3.0 diesel or a 3.2 or 4.2 petrol. The highly regarded and sporty S6 was introduced in the Frankfurt Motor Show, with sales beginning in early 2006. It is highly powered by a Lamborghini-derived 5.2 L V10 producing 435 PS (320 kW).
